A talented City & Guilds qualified chef, Tony's work experience started in Halifax before travelling across the globe to Australia in 1989. Restless feet brought him back to our shores in 1992 to work in 5 star hotels in Brighton and Jersey before sailing off on the P&O Oriana to spend 5 years serving quality meals to 1000's of satisfied travellers on each cruise.
Tony finally came "home" and settled back in Halifax where in 2001 he created "Food 4 Thought". He had one key aim in mind; to create a food oriented business providing 1st rate catering built around quality, locally-sourced fresh food.
In just a few years "Food 4 Thought" has developed into the accomplished company we see today, having also become a limited company in 2008.
Tony's ambition: to be THE chosen caterer throughout Calderdale, Kirklees and West Yorkshire.
No matter what your catering or dining needs, from canapés parties, business lunches, buffets, formal or informal dinners, sportsmans dinners, individually designed barbecues, wedding breakfasts, we can create the most wonderful, varied and bespoke menus. From intimate, small gatherings through to events hosting a large number of guests we can provide the service you require, all to the same exceptionally high standards.
Our superb food remains at the heart of all we do and is sure to impress no matter how large or small your event. Our menu's change to reflect the seasons and we source most of our produce fresh from local, approved suppliers, ensuring that only the best quality is guaranteed. As you would expect, we also construct menus in line with client's requirements and dietary needs to provide a dining experience as individual as you, tailored to your exact needs.
We're also available to help with everything else to make your event or gathering a huge success. We can supply all necessary crockery, cutlery, table linen, friendly professional waiting staff etc. and have all the necessary equipment to set-up a kitchen complete with skilled and experienced chefs if there are no catering facilities at your chosen venue
